Advocate

In Our Community

Changing lives in central Massachusetts depends on engaging the entire community. United Way of Central Massachusetts needs your help to lend your voice and support initiatives that will make central Massachusetts a better place to live and work. Whether you write a letter to your Congressperson, or tell friends and family about a cause, or let people know about our work via social media, we need you as an advocate! There are many ways you can advocate for causes you believe in, but here are just a few easy ways to advocate.

Vote!

One of the easiest ways to affect change is to vote.  We urge everyone to register to vote and make sure your voice is heard in every election. If you haven’t registered to vote yet, you can find out how to do it HERE.

Contact an Elected Official

If there is a cause you care about, you can write a letter to Congress letting them know how you feel.

Tell Us Why You LIVE UNITED!

We want to hear from you! Tell us why supporting your community is so important to you. You can post a video testimonial or a short sentence on twitter, email us your story, or just tell your family and friends about why you support our work.

Be sure to get the latest news about our work and how you can advocate by staying in touch on social media.
